We seek a dynamic and driven International Account Manager to establish and expand our global sales efforts. This is a unique opportunity to enter a highly specialised and impactful industry where communication systems are critical to safety and efficiency. The sectors we operate in—railways, public transport, and public safety—demand robust, reliable, and customisable communication systems. You will have the exciting challenge of building our sales channel from the ground up. You’ll work closely with technical teams to offer tailored solutions and guide customers through long, complex sales cycles, often lasting up to two years. Our sales process typically involves RFI, RFQ, and proposal stages, requiring collaboration with technical experts to provide the correct information.

Operating internationally, you will focus on Europe and explore opportunities in Africa and Asia. This role will expose you to diverse markets and decision-making structures, including direct sales to end customers and collaborations with integration partners like Nokia, Engie, and NEC.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in railway, public safety markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and integration partners to drive long-term growth.
  • Lead the sales process, including RFI, RFQ, and proposal preparation, in close collaboration with technical teams.
  • Understand customer needs and translate them into tailored solutions by leveraging internal technical expertise.
  • Manage long sales cycles (up to 2 years) with perseverance and motivation.
  • Maintain records of prospecting activities and customer interactions in Odoo ERP.
  • Represent RideOnTrack at international trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings.

Profile

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, or similar).
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in technical or B2B environments.
  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to understand and communicate complex solutions.
  • Fluent in professional English; Dutch is a strong advantage, and French is a plus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a hunter mentality and able to work independently in a scale-up environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
