In one of the previous news flashes we already announced that RideOnTrack was developing a PTT application.

This application will be used on radio terminals that combine PTT over cellular with PTT over DMR (Digital Mobile Radio).

When there is good public mobile coverage, PTT over cellular will be used. When the public mobile coverage is not sufficient, the radio’s will have a group call in DMR DMO (Direct Mode) combined with a radio gateway function (to connect with the dispatcher). With the management software, the user will be able to administer the different groups and to monitor the radio performance.

Nokia will use our software in one of their customer projects. At RideOnTrack we believe that this solution still has a lot of potential to grow as Railway Infrastructure providers are planning the renewal of their analogue radio networks.
