During the week of June 17, Toomas Põõsaste of Eesti Raudtee (Estonian Railways) traveled to the RideOnTrack offices in Geel for conducting a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT). The Eesti Raudtee project includes the renewal of the obsolete Russian dispatcher system, including about 100 DiCa compact dispatcher terminals, which will be installed in the stations, nationwide. Special integration was done to connect the DiCa dispatcher system with the Russian dispatcher network at the Estonian/Russian borders as well as a connection with the Latvian planning system.
During the FAT the customer tested all required dispatching functionalities of which several were specially designed to meet the Eesti Raudtee operational procedures. We are happy to say that the system was fully accepted with no remarks or open points. In the meantime the goods are shipped to Estonia and installation has started. We expect that the system will be in full operation by the end of Q3 2019.
Many thanks to Toomas Põõsaste of Eesti Raudtee, for the good co-operation during the last months. Toomas deep know-how of the Eesti Raudtee operational telecommunication network and his understanding of the new system requirements were of great help to design and Integrate the RideOnTrack DiCa dispatcher solution.
