Voice dispatching

Experience crystal-clear voice communication with the MC-X Dispatcher Console. DECT audio technology, built-in Echo Cancellation (AEC), Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and Close Conversation Limiting. These features ensure that your team can communicate clearly and effectively, even in noisy environments.

Modular design

The MC-X Dispatcher Console offers unprecedented flexibility with hot-swappable modules that automatically connect using magnetism and Powered USB Pogo pins. Easily adjust modules on the fly to suit operator preferences, ensuring efficient and intuitive use.

Monoblock configuration

With the included mounting brackets, the console can be permanently attached as a monoblock configuration, allowing operators to quickly move and pick up the unit. This configuration enhances the portability of the console, ensuring that it is always ready for action when and where it is needed most.

Modules are hot-swappable

The MC-X dispatcher console offers modules that can be used in detached mode through wireless DECT technology. Detach the module, and it will automatically continue operating wirelessly without dropping the call. This provides operators with greater mobility and flexibility. The handset can be used wired or wirelessly and will automatically charge when docked, ensuring it is always ready for use.

Wired connectivity for Mission-Critical reliability

The MC-X console offers USB-C wired connectivity for all its modules, handset, and headset. This ensures that power to the modules is maintained even when the console is not configured as a monoblock, making it ideal for mission-critical environments. The handset can be connected using a specially designed seated and shielded USB-C strain relief connector, preventing breakage of the spiral cord connector that is common in other dispatcher consoles.

Built-in battery

The MC-X modules have a built-in battery, allowing them to operate as standalone devices. The dispatcher console’s integrated battery doubles as an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), enabling operators to continue critical operations during power outages. The Gooseneck and Telephone Modules offer 24-hour battery life with 20% call and 80% standby usage. The modules can easily be recharged between operator shifts by attaching them back to the main hub, ensuring they are always ready for use.

Industry-leading connectivity

Connectivity

The cornerstone of every dispatching call is effective communication. That’s why we’ve designed the MC-X Dispatcher Console to include top-of-the-line connectivity options.

  • DECT offers wireless interfacing with encryption for added security. It boasts a range of up to 180 meters in direct line of sight.
  • Two redundant gigabit Ethernet ports provide alternate data paths in the event of a single cable failure.
  • The console features Wi-Fi for wireless LAN capabilities
  • LTE, 4G, and 5G connectivity ensure that communication remains uninterrupted when the dispatch operator needs to be mobile, or during evacuation or signal loss scenarios.

Compliance

To ensure easy of adoption and industry compliance, the MC-X dispatcher console has been engineered to comply with a range of technical standards.

  • TETRA standards defined by ETSI for digital trunked radio systems, ensuring compatibility with existing systems in Europe.
  • P25 standards defined by TIA for digital public safety radio communications in North America.
  • 3GPP compliance ensures that the console meets the technical specifications for global cellular communications standards.
  • The dispatcher console has been designed to comply with existing GSM-R networks and its successor, the Future Railway Mobile Communications System (FRMCS). FRMCS will act as a key enabler for rail transport digitalisation.

Fallback scenarios

Undock tablet as fallback device

In the event of an evacuation or required displacement, the tablet can be undocked from the main body by lifting the locking clasp and disconnecting the USB-C connector. Once undocked, it will seamlessly switch to 4G/5G* without any operational interference.

Standalone fallback module

The MC-X Dispatcher Console comes with the optional Fallback Module, which is useful in situations where the console cannot establish a connection with the Dispatcher System Core. The Fallback Module provides a backup communication solution by allowing the user to communicate directly over the GSM-R network using the built-in modem, and over the 4G/5G networks using the built-in LTE modem. This ensures uninterrupted communication in critical situations.

Integrated system

The Fallback Module is fully compatible with the base MC-X modules and can be easily attached using the Powered USB Pogo pins. If needed, it can be permanently fixed in a Monoblock Configuration. Additionally, it can be used as a standalone USB device, offering flexibility in its application.

Benefits

Reduced TCO

The console’s design reduces total cost of ownership by allowing for individual module replacements and incorporating common off-the-shelf components. This ensures long-term usability and reduces the need for costly upgrades. We ensure support for the product throughout its lifetime.

Instant Response

Modern computational hardware and interfaces provide an immediate response at the push of a button. Push To Talk Buttons have been specifically chosen for haptic feedback and consistent performace.

Adapt to user

The Dispatcher Console offers easy operational maintenance as users can easily swap modules that pair automatically. The setup is configurable based on the operator’s requirements. The inclination mechanism for the handset and touch screen adds to the console’s flexibility.

Crystal-clear voice

Clear communication through the use of DECT technology, built-in echo cancellation (AEC), and Close Conversation Limiting. The volume between input devices (Gooseneck, Phone set, Headset) is automatically balanced.

Easy-to-use

Our Dispatcher Console has been designed for ease of operation, with the touch screen and PTT button being the only necessary input devices. It is so user-friendly that if you can use a cellphone, you will be able to use the console.

Improved call stability

DECT wireless technology provides a highly stable and secure connection with a range of up to 180 meters. It can support up to 8 communication devices simultaneously, delivering superior call stability and clarity compared to other wireless voice technologies.

Design & ergonomics

The MC-X Dispatcher Console is designed for mission-critical reliability, using industrial-grade components that guarantee durability throughout the product’s lifetime. The console operates silently, as it does not contain any moving parts or fans.

Inclination mechanism

The Inclination Mechanism allows the operator to customise the working area by tilting the screen between 15° and 90°. Adjustments can be made on the fly without requiring any tools. Fully compressing the unit allows it to be stored under a dispatching screen setup without interfering with the operator’s workflow.

FAQ

    • DECT offers superior sound quality compared to other wireless communication standards, such as Bluetooth because it uses a dedicated frequency band for voice communication
    • DECT provides better call stability when compared to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
    • DECT operates on a dedicated frequency band, which means it is less likely to experience interference from other wireless devices
    • DECT allows for multiple devices to be connected to a single base
    • DECT offers better security than Bluetooth, as it uses advanced encryption techniques to protect communication.
    • DECT uses different frequencies, reducing the typical interference of operating multiple Bluetooth devices
    • DECT has a longer range than Bluetooth, allowing devices to be used over greater distances (up to 120 meters).
