RideOnTrack at User Group Meeting for AI deployment of learning models
Last week, RideOnTrack’s CodiTrack team participated in the User Group Meeting of MEDLI (short for Managing Edge Deployment of Large Deep Learning Models in Industry), a research project by Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) and Flanders Make.
The MEDLI project focuses on supporting industries with edge AI deployment of modern deep learning models. The goal of the project is to develop tools that:
- Reduce the development time of edge AI models
- Simplify the selection process of combining the right edge hardware and software
- Monitor deployed AI models in operation
During the meeting, researchers presented their latest findings. As part of the BOSA EU AI Week, the session was opened to a broader audience to further promote knowledge sharing.
At the invitation of KU Leuven and Flanders Make, the CodiTrack team had the opportunity to present their rEdge solution. We shared how RideOnTrack plans to leverage the MEDLI project’s results to further enhance our solutions. More specifically, we see strong added value for our ongoing VLAIO research & development project, where we work on:
- Asset tracing
- Overgrowth detection
- User comfort measurements
By building on MEDLI’s insights and tools, we aim to improve measurements taken with the CodiTrack rEdge tool.
We would like to thank KU Leuven and Flanders Make for the opportunity, and we look forward to continued collaboration and to the impact these innovations will have on industrial AI applications. A big thank you to Marjolein Deryck for organising a successful event!
