Represents the total received power of a signal, useful for assessing basic signal presence.

RSRP

Indicates the strengths of a specific reference signal, helping evaluate connection quality to a specific cell.

RSRQ

Measures signal quality by comparing RSRP to RSSI, revealing network interference and load conditions.

SINR

Evaluates how clean the signal is by comparing it to background interference and noise, essential for data throughput.

Measures the speed at which data is received from or sent to the network, indicating overall throughput performance.

Ping Loss and Ping Response

Measures packet loss and round-trip time to assess network reliability and latency.

Cell ID, Frequency band, EARFCN, and Technology

Identifies the specific cell tower and radio configuration (e.g., 4G LTE, 5G) used for communication, helping track network source and capabilities.

Modular 19-inch Rack Integration

The rEdge includes a built-in 19-inch rack sleeve inside the outer housing, enabling standardised installation of modular hardware components—ideal for IoT applications that evolve with operational needs.

Flexible Internal Payload Space

Approximately 30% of the internal volume is reserved for mission-specific expansion. DIN-rail mounting allows easy installation of custom electronics, additional sensors, or communication hardware.

Adjustable Height

The rEdge platform offers three configurable height settings to adapt to available roof space. The pack can be raised or lowered to ensure optimal sensor performance.

Adaptable Mounting and Cabling

Flexible Train-Mounting Legs

Mounting legs include multiple cutouts for alignment with train roof brackets or anchor points. Integrated vibration damping improves mechanical stability and protects internal components.

Weatherproof Cable Gland Access

A rear-facing row of cable glands allows for easy, on-site cable adjustments. This setup supports internal reconfiguration for new use cases while keeping the enclosure fully sealed against water and environmental ingress.
